Trust & Safety @ ZAYA

Trust & Safety at ZAYA

ZAYA exists to make global travel more connected and safer for women. Trust and safety are not add-ons to our platform — they are foundational to how ZAYA is designed, moderated, and operated.

That said, ZAYA is a community-driven platform, not a law enforcement agency, travel insurer, or booking intermediary. Safety on ZAYA is built through a combination of design choices, community standards, and shared responsibility.

Our Safety Principles:

Community-first safety
ZAYA is a members-only platform built around shared values of respect, care, and accountability. We prioritize features that reduce anonymity, discourage abuse, and support meaningful connection.

Prevention over reaction
We design systems to prevent harm where possible — including verification requirements, privacy controls, reporting tools, and moderation workflows — rather than relying solely on after-the-fact enforcement.

Transparency over false guarantees
ZAYA does not guarantee safety, accommodations, outcomes, or experiences. We are transparent about what the platform does — and does not — provide.

Platform Safety Features
Depending on membership status and region, ZAYA may include:
- Member verification and account review processes
- Profile visibility controls (public, friends-only, private)
- Messaging permissions and blocking tools
- Content reporting and moderation systems
- Safety resources and region-specific guidance
- Emergency contact and support references

These tools are designed to support informed decision-making, not replace personal judgment.

Accommodations & Meetups

ZAYA may display:
- Member-hosted stays
- Hotel or partner listings
- Community-organized events or meetups

ZAYA does not act as a booking agent, payment processor, insurer, or guarantor. Any arrangements made — including stays, meetups, or shared travel — are coordinated directly between members or with third-party providers. (Future versions of ZAYA may integrate bookings of STAYS, this page will be updated at that time.)

Members are responsible for:
- Vetting accommodations and hosts
- Confirming details offline
- Assessing personal comfort and risk
- Complying with local laws and customs

Reporting & Moderation
Members can report:
- Harassment or abusive behavior
- Inappropriate content
- Safety concerns
- Suspected scams or misrepresentation

Reports are reviewed according to priority and severity. ZAYA may take actions including content removal, account restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal.

We reserve the right to act to protect the community, even if behavior does not rise to the level of illegality.

Shared Responsibility
Safety on ZAYA is a shared effort.

We commit to:
- Thoughtful platform design
- Clear standards and enforcement
- Continuous improvement

Members commit to:
- Respectful participation
- Honest representation
- Using good judgment
- Looking out for one another

Together, we build a platform where women can explore the world — informed, empowered, and connected.
